The Next Big Thing

I’ve been tagged in The Next Big Thing by fellow writer  Lisa Day, who writes terrific womens’ fiction. I’m instructed to tell you all about my next book by answering these questions and then to tag five other authors about their Next Big Thing. So here I go!

What is the working title of your next book?

Destiny Lane

Where did the idea come from for the book?

I was looking up my dream dictionary book when I began to read the history and how in the past, people would believe when they dreamed they entered another world.

What genre does your book fall under?

Which actors would you choose to play your characters in a movie rendition?

It’s a tough one as for the female lead, the character is independent, yet still a tad innocent and adventurous. Perhaps Emma Watson

or Charlize Theron

The two male leads,

for the softer, more romantic male lead, Ryan Gosling

For the wealthy, also romantic male lead, Henry Cavill

Male lead actor in Destiny Lane

What is the one-sentence synopsis of your book?

If you had the choice of living in two worlds, which world who you choose?

Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

Self-published, but if the offer is right, I am happy to consider a publisher or movie producer.

How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

A little less than a year.

What other books would you compare this story to within your genre? Who or What inspired you to write this book?

Perhaps a little of Twilight – with the unlimited mindsets and the magic of the non-fiction book, The Secret. But ultimately this fiction tale will take the reader on new heights, dreams, imagination and a story like no other.

Anticipated release of Destiny Lane novel is late 2013.
